Goldfinch

Goldfinch Carduelis carduelis: We have always seen the goldfinches in the tops of the larches in the garden, or around the edges of our woods, but this January, 2007, four or five have started to come to the window feeder, very exciting. Spring of 2011, nesting in the Monterey Pine and frequently around garden, in Autumn half a dozen or so flock on the thistles in the nut spinney.
