Jay Garrulus glandarius: My all time favourite and regular visitors. Often a pair will visit, one sitting in the larch trees whilst the other takes peanuts. We have counted seventeen peanuts being taken one after the other. They do not seem as nervous as the magpies, but then we are usually transfixed when the Jays visit so we don’t move to scare them!
