We collect waste timber made (doors, window frames and windows, fascia boards and the like) once a fortnight for our wood burning range, supplying all our hot water, heating and cooking. Zero carbon footprint as it is all ‘old wood’. The range operates at high enough temperatures to destroy dioxins and all that is left is ash and melted ali and brass fittings. We use a small amount of electricity to run a big saw bench to cut up the timber.
