Bees, Bats & Deer

Like everyone else in UK we had some dire weather in January and early February(09). However by last week in February we are back to our mild ‘Atlantic’ weather, bumble bees working the crocuses and snowdrops since the end of Feb. Tuesday evening (10th March) saw first flying bat of year, grey moorland drizzle all day but temp about 9c, bat over garden and drive way at dusk, 6.30pm. Yesterday,(11th March) walking through woods to my workshop I saw a roe deer on the track ahead, got to about 3 metres before it realized I was there and bounded off into the undergrowth. 11.03.09
