Hello and thanks for visiting our site.
We are Kevin and Sue and we bought Trevina some 20 years ago when it was in a sorry state with no central heating and overgrown gardens. We have lovingly renovated the house, cottage and grounds back to their former glory with the added benefit of most modern luxuries!
Plants and gardening has been a passion of ours since a young age and together we have been gardening organically for nearly forty years. So where did it all begin…
Kevin started buying cactus plants with pocket money aged eight. At secondary school he hated being ‘too bright’ to get into the rural studies class which spent afternoons in the schools gardens and greenhouses. At age seventeen we met and spent much of our free time together tramping the footpaths and byways of the North Downs and Weald.
Sue was given an ‘orchid’ cactus at the age of eight, which still flowers every summer. Descended from a Kentish farming family, Sue’s grandmother instilled the joys of the countryside and the finer things of life.
We love Trevina House and the myths and legends that abound in this part of Cornwall. All this is yours to share. If you would like further information on staying in Housekeepers Cottage or renting out the whole house please feel free to contact us.
We hope you have a lovely stay in Cornwall
